About the college

The community of job training colleges known as CET, Center for Employment Training, began in 1967 in the city of San Jose. Now this community has campuses all across the United States. They are dedicated to bringing education into low income communities. The CET- Sacramento is no different. Here they pledge to help families and individuals realize their hope and dreams with higher education. Pairing first time students and adults with CET education creates futures for those who may not have that option.

Campus

Sacramento is a large city with communities that are financially malnourished. This is where CET comes in. The school creates a learning environment that puts its students in real world situations with hands on experience. Students train for careers that are high in demand within their community. The skills that they learn can be used in these jobs or combined with others job worthy skills. CET is a private institution that is not for profit and their teaching styles are learned at your pace as set by each student. With flexibility and affordability, one can see why CET is a great community college.

Courses

The major fields of study at CET include medical assistant, HVAC, engine and automotive, administrative/clerical, computer science and vehicle and equipment operator. Several degrees can be obtained within these fields like building and construction administration and accounting in the business and management field. CET gives that little financial freedom the opportunity to succeed within their community. The students learn job skills for the ever changing and competitive job market.

At CET- Sacramento, they want their students to succeed on and off campus. While attending students enjoy career counseling, employment services, and remedial academic service. Upon graduation, CET offers its students job placement services so that their career is never too far out of reach.
