About the college
Napa Valley College was first known as Napa Community College when it was established in 1942. The main course it has is Science and Security and Law Enforcement. It also has many sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, men’s golf, softball, women’s golf, and volleyball. Their teams are nicknamed the storm. Napa Valley College is a private school and students can earn up to the Associate degree. Napa Valley College is located in Napa valley, California but also has Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena. They have several different clubs for the students including Video Game Club, Math Engineering Science Achievement Club and Administration of Justice Club just to name a few. About the Campus Napa Valley College is right in the center of the beautiful wine country. The 160-acre site overlooks the Napa River so you always have a beautiful view. Napa Valley College also has the Napa Valley Vintners’ teaching Winery on campus. They have a Child development center and an Olympic size swimming pool for the students as well. You will find a cafeteria on campus as well as a gym and child and family center. There is no on campus housing but you will find many off campus student houses and apts. Many restaurants have student discounts for them to. About the courses Some of the courses offered include Liberal arts, security, and law enforcement, science, nursing, and emergency services, beauty, and cosmetology. In 2007, they had a total enrollment of 7,169 students with 3,781 being full time. They also offer part time classes for those who work but want to continue their education.
