About the college

Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was built on family legacy with over 36 generations of expertise. The university teaches acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine that includes the elements of tai chi and qigong. Yo San also does community services by operating an Acupuncture Clinic where students receive hands on training. The school highly believes that when mind, body and spirit are all in alignment with one another the best output comes forward.

Campus

Los Angeles is a great location for the Yo San University. LA is a city of beauty, culture and diversity. Students at the university have mountains in the distance and beaches just a short drive away. The campus has been training students in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for 20 years since 1989. The training at the clinic is hands on and students get to meet the public, cultivate relationships and learn in a real world job setting.

Courses

Yo San offers students continuing education courses. They include first aid and kitchen medicines, harmonizing with the seasons of the sun and the moon, constitutional facial acupuncture renewal and online courses with a DVD that is called theory and practice of traditional Chinese nutrition. Yo San has a 4 year master’s degree program with a focus on discovery, accumulation, transition and an internship of Chinese medicine. The doctoral program at Yo San can be achieved in 2 years with 1250 required hours for completion. The course does include clinical practice.
