About the college
West Los Angeles College, WLAC, is known as the campus in the hills. Students at the college are offered courses available for transfer to a 4-year university and other courses for career and personal development. The college offers a dental hygiene program that is highly competitive to get in to. In addition, West Los Angeles is the only college in the LA Community College District to have the American Bar Association approved paralegal program. Campus The Culver City campus is stretched out upon 70 acres of land that resemble a park like setting. The campus overlooks Marina Del Rey and the entertaining city of Los Angeles. With this location, students have local attractions and entertainment around every corner. Students can even see the Pacific Ocean from the campus. In addition, there is a childcare center and student services with athletic fields that were the host for various activities at the 1984 Olympic Games. Courses Students at WLAC can choose from a variety of programs to help them on their career and educational pathways. Some of the programs include allied health, aviation and travel, business, computer science and applications, language arts and science. Within each academic program are fields of study for students to choose from. Vocational programs earn students degrees and certificates upon completion. There are certificates of achievement and skills certificates. Students can choose from accounting, child development, real estate and music-songwriter’s workshop. There are also associate degrees in dental hygiene, hospitality, marketing, paralegal studies and a few others. WLAC can put your future and career on the right track.
