About the college
Los Angeles Music Academy got its rockin’ roots with professionals in the LA Recording Studios. In 1996 they made it official and the academy made a promise to pass the music torch onto those seeking a career in the rock n’ roll world. The mission is simple: provide quality music history, education and playing technique of all sorts of musical instruments. If you have ever wanted to play in an arena of millions of screaming fans, then your first step is a musical journey at the LA Music Academy. Campus The Pasadena campus location was chosen because it was a safe neighborhood with close proximity to LA’s nightlife, concert venues, and local band scene. The campus has ideal classrooms for the new generation’s concert playing hopefuls. The classrooms have the best in audio equipment with Mackie sound systems and Tech 21 guitars. There is a recording lab, computer lab, practice labs for drummers, guitarists, and bassists with stations for vocalists as well. The campus also boasts a 25 on stage player performance hall where students can take their rock n’ roll dreams to the stage. Online there is a link for student music sample too. Courses The courses at LA Music Academy are divided into instrument programs. They are drums, guitar, bass and vocals with a summer program workshop where students write their own music, record it, play it and more. Each program starts with an introduction and then the classes include lectures, drill practices, and performances. At the completion of the programs the future students, or rock stars, can venture out into the music world and land careers in an orchestra or as a bandleader or performing musician. With LA Music Academy your rock n’ roll dream can become a reality.
