About the college

The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology has been teaching the connection between mind, body and spirit since 1975. The institute is a leader in transpersonal psychology training. Students that attend the school go through extensive training in the education of clinicians, spiritual guides, wellness caregivers and consultants. While educating the students and the community the institute brings a greater understanding of the field and its positive effects on the society as a whole.

Campus

The campus is located in the San Francisco Bay area in the city of Palo Alto. The institute is just a mere two miles from Stanford University. Having the San Francisco Bay area as your campus location gives you scenic views with mountains, beaches and desert all within miles of the university. Also, students can enjoy decadent nightlife, local attractions, restaurants and a variety of shopping centers.

Courses

At the Institute of Transpersonal psychology, students are offered residential programs and global online programs. The campus is Palo Alto has residential programs that offer Ph. D. and master degrees. There are two part time evening courses that can lead to master of art degrees in transpersonal technology and counseling psychology. Other programs offered include clinical psychology, transpersonal psychology, which are both Ph. D. degree programs. The Master of Arts degree programs include transpersonal psychology, counseling psychology and women’s spirituality.

The online programs at the institute offers students a Ph. D. in psychology, a master of transpersonal psychology, one year certificate in transpersonal studies or professional training in transformational life coaching. Students can even take single classes, a discussion oriented program called Colloquia, workshops and seminars. The institute also has continuing education programs for adults.
