About the college
In 1970 the Diversified Language Institute, or DLI, was founded. The college is dedicated to teaching students in a caring environment with a qualified and professional faculty. Each student gets individual attention that is used to accurately monitor their progress and teachers use attendance and exams as well. DLI is the community’s answer to higher education. Campus DLI’s campus is located in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. LA is a multi-cultural city with amazing beauty and landscape that includes both mountains and beaches. The attractions in the large city include Disneyland and Hollywood Boulevard and both are near by. Restaurants, shopping centers and several media venues are located in the city in multiple languages. LA provides students with the best in science and western museums and a great library. The housing options are not available on campus, but there are nearby apartments and hotels. Other student services include foreign student advisors that assist in housing options, academic questions, and general life in the US. The campus at DLI has the ability to enroll students that are non-immigrant aliens. Courses Diversified Language Institute offers two programs for the community to enrich itself with. English as a Second Language and Business Office Administration are both offered. The first program teaches grammar, listening, speaking, and writing. A placement test is taken and each student is placed into one of 9 levels that the program offers. Each level consists of 180 hours while the business program is 720 hours and prepares students for the business world. Both courses teach skills for career and daily life. DLI is committed to the community by giving students the skills that they need to be a productive and successful citizen.
