About the college

The CET community of schools has 31 vocational institutions located around the US. CET- Sobrato is one of the 31 and it is located in San Jose, California. The school was founded in 1967 as a school for those who need help with their careers and futures. The students of CET sometimes live in poverty and may not have the means to apply to a 4 year university. CET is there to provide people the skills that they need to get a job in the community and have a future that does not keep them living in poverty.

Campus

CET Sobrato is located in San Jose, California. Many of the students are from out of state and they enjoy a diverse variety of courses like culinary arts and construction. The students at CET are comprised of first timers to adults who are seeking higher education. The admissions at the school are open so students do not have to fully apply to the school in order to take a few classes at a time. The campus wants students to feel welcome and learn the trades that will leave them self sufficient and a productive part of the community.

Courses

CET Sobrato is well known for specific programs within its school. Those are family and social work, culinary arts and construction trades. CET offers degree programs in the fields of business and management, construction trades, culinary arts, family/social work, automotive, media, medical administration, medial support and technology, office and administration and transportation. The programs at CET- Sobrato take less than 2 years complete and then students are offered help with job placement.
