About the college
Baldwin is a school dedicated to teaching its community and adult students. The college has been recognized with awards for adult basic education, English as a second language, courses for older adults and career technical education. This school gives adults the opportunity to get the education the need to build a healthy lifestyle and choose life long careers with learning that they receive. Campus The campus at Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education is located at 4640 N. Maine Ave. in Baldwin Park, California. Activities at the campus are often updated through their BSPACE blog that gives students an insight into what is going on at the campus and giving them school updates. There is also an online bookstore for students. With the campus set in beautiful California the students, get beautiful scenery with close by activities as well as an unbeatable education experience despite your age or stage of life. Courses The classes offered at Baldwin Park are set up for success. There is a medical occupation course designed to help students achieve careers as nursing assistants with classroom work as well as externships in local doctor’ s offices and hospitals. Other careers include massage therapy, licensed pharmacy technician, insurance clerk, and a few others. A Fine arts program is available for older adults in the community. Fine and applied arts are taught and the work is showcased at county fairs. The Maine Street Café gives students a program to learn the fine art of food. Students learn to prepare meals, the operations within a restaurant and front of the house careers like waiting tables. Baldwin also offers adults a way to obtain their GED or high school diploma. Students can even take English as a second language course. Course offered allow individuals to try a world of new opportunities while finding courses that will fit their busy schedules.
