About the College
Adelante Career Institute was established in 1987 to provide students with in demand professional training. The college offers small classrooms with day and evening classes, free childcare, free parking, hands on training, job placement assistance and is accredited by ACCET. Courses Medical Billing Students will learn entry-level skills such as how to bill for medical services, workers compensation, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to help with insurance terminology. Types of employment possible after training includes claims clerk, medical biller, medical receptionist, patient & hospital billing clerk, medical secretary, health claims examiner, and hospital admitting clerk. Pharmacy Technician Students will learn the skills need to become approved by the state of California as a registered pharmacy technician. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to prepare and package medication, order products, deliver medication orders correctly, and more. Physical Therapy Aide Students will learn the skills needed with hands on instruction using the latest equipment while learning heat therapy, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, and heliotherapy, along with common therapeutic exercises involving ranges of motion. Computerized Office Students will learn basic office skills such as telephone skills, payroll, and banking, ten-key pad, office procedures and a thorough understanding of computerized spreadsheets, slide show presentations, database software and word-processing. After completing the course, students can find employment as a word processor, clerk/typist, and an administrative clerk. Computerized Accounting Students will learn basic skills including Bookkeeping, Payroll & Banking, Business Mathematics, Keyboarding, and Microsoft Office software as well as instruction on preparing bank deposits, issuing checks, maintaining a record of account activities, reconciling a bank statement and payroll computations. After completing the course students can find employment such as receivable clerk, accounts payable, accounting clerk, bookkeeper, and general accounting systems operator. HVAC Installer Students learn the basic skills needed to install and start up start-up of residential split-system air conditioning equipment, CACs, heat pumps, and Puron systems, reading blue prints and more.
